The term Kamikaze was adopted by our JukuCho to represent the spirit of this gym. To put everything you have into it. To have enough fuel to get you there, but not enough to return. Like the kamikaze pilots of old, committed only to one purpose. We are the oldest kickboxing clubs on Okinawa.

All of us volunteer our time, resources, and energy to this dojo. We are a family here. We work together, train together, fight together, and hang out together. We make each other stronger. - Kamikaze Juku

Okinawa Japan, Kickboxing and MMA Update: 6 Dec 2013

BATTLE IN ISHIGAKI ISLAND: MONONOFU STYLE. This is kind of a rare thing. You don't usually see main events at smaller venues. However Mino Tiger made the choice that he was going to hold an event in Ishigaki. And by God that's exactly what he did. Despite the haters and naysayers Mino's gamble proved to be a success. Since there are quite a few good fighters that come out of Ishigaki, Mino decided to repay the courtesy by promoting an event there. 

We sent Ryuichi down there for the event and it looked like a pretty good match up with Makachokei. Unfortunately it finished abruptly in the second round due to an elbo cut over Ryuichi's eye. The bout ended with a No Contest due to Doctor Stoppage. Ryuichi ended up with 5 stitches. (he's been antsy at the gym while it heals) Either way it looks to be a great rematch!



Next up: The Zombie heading to Oita Japan. Back against Gong Way! (I don't think they like the result from last time... Haha)
